No, the SHELF life, when it's in the pack, is 10 years. Actually that toy uses a thinner CR2025.

Also the coin cells are dangerous if swallowed. That's why some of these toys have a screw on the battery cover, but a 2 year old can use a screwdriver.

I don't believe it's safe for small children. Risk of cracking panel and the liquid coming out.


You can buy toy smartphones for small children. These LCD slates are for bigger children or adults. It's totally lacking iin function, as you can only scribble or erase all of it. No selective erase. A box of coloured chalks and a blackboard that size is better value and more fun.
