Thalia: A Texas Trilogy by Larry McMurtry is $2.99

It's called a trilogy, but really these are three unrelated books set in the same fictional Texas town of Thalia:
Horseman, Pass By (1961) - (Filmed as HUD)
Leaving Cheyenne (1963)
The Last Picture Show (1966)

I've only read The Last Picture Show so far, but would recommend it.
