Because no place around here recycles glass I try to stick to box wine. (I don't know in the final analysis if the box liner is worse than any amount of glass.) In Italy you used to be able to buy wine in your own containers.

The market has sorted itself out. The 5 liter boxes are generally acknowledged to be industrial solvents. The 3 liter boxes have some pretensions to being wine. For a nice dinner I'll stick to a bottle.

Currently: a glug of Robert Mondavi Woodbridge Cabernet Sauvignon (3l).
