Hi, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Kindle basic 2019 model (I think that's the latest on sale? With a micro USB port). The serial doesn't seem to match many on the databases I've seen, it seems closer to the Kids model they sell, but it is the standard new kindle basic mode. The serial is 'G090 VB___' .

I hope I provide any information needed, if I remember.

I have managed to get into demo mode, etc, but copying the files over at stage one, it does not load the files or start the initial jb / payload once I press 'Done'. I have rebooted several times (over many hours), and tried to load the files again as advised from the demo menu, even without connecting to a PC.

The gesture / swipe often doesn't work, after dozens of tries, it will sometimes work.

I have also tried the Factory reset folder option, that doesn't work.

I seem to be stuck in demo mode no matter what I try. The settings command works, but exiting demo mode usually the settings symbol is greyed out.

I used the KT4 files mentioned early on in this thread as someone asked what the most recent (2019?) or later Kindle basic needed.

Please could someone help me out. Is returning to Amazon an option, it is new. But in demo mode.

If this question has been answered already I'm sorry, I scanned most of the pages the other day but may well have missed it.
