I have a couple of chunky libraries on a sluggish external HDD with metadata.db symlinks that reference <chunky-library-name>/metadata.db files on an SSD. Doesn't make much difference in performance**, but it seemed a good idea at the time - which was almost a decade ago. I would be surprised if the same couldn't be done for the full-text-search.db file
