If you are using Windows, right click on affiliate.conf
A menu should pop up. Look at the bottom and you should see something that looks like this:
Remove the check so Read-only is blank.
Click OK or Apply
Now you should be able to edit affiliate.conf
If it asks what program you want to open it with, chose WordPad or Notepad.
