I grabbed a
free book from Amazon. When I went to add it to Calibre with the method in this thread (Kindle 1.17), I got a .MOBI file, but the content was some 3000 pages of:

(in fact, I had to use the ebook-viewer.exe from Calibre 3.48 just to get it to load)
I tested with another free book and got an AZW3 as expected. Does anybody know what happened here?
