If you are going to download news to a Kindle, forget emailing it. You'll have to side load it to get it in Mobi so the Kindle can recognize it as a periodical. Otherwise it will get converted to ePub and from there to KF8 and sent to your Kindle. That's not going to work as well as just side loading the Mobi periodical.
