I'd think that if you put in some sort of flap/door slider in that general area it'd work nicely. But having seen the high quality of your work on your website, I expect you'll want to wait until you can take your own measurements.

You're right about wanting to take the measurements myself. Been burned before. As for the fact that Canada's metric, most of my machinery comes from the States. It's easyer to buy an other tape measure than an other planer. I was born and measured in inches.

Speaking multiple languages has it's merits and charms, so is measuring.
Putting a tiny flap on the box is out of the question. You got to remember that working wood is a subtractive process compared to plastics or certain metals that use molding or additive processes.

I lost two finger tips in 1980 and I want to keep the rest for pushing the charming little buttons of the PRS.
Also if the port is at the bottom of the device I might forgo the idea because this is where the lighting's batteries will go.
