You can convert epub to epub. The source is renamed Original_Epub.
There are settings in Conversion to build TOC, fix CSS, do file breaks at headings (so an Amazon created version has page breaks) etc.

The TOC editor in epub Editor is simple to use and can automatically make a new TOC from headings.
