Evacuation orders for the Electra Fire are being lifted. It should turn out to be a positive day. I was only a quarter of a mile from mandatory evacuation.
Watching a DC10 fly about 200 feet over your house house getting ready for a fire retardant drop is a little unnerving. Add to that Cal Fire has the first night flying helicopter for doing water drops. The helicopter was surprisingly quiet.
