Yes, it might be good if we had 30 or so official languages.
OTOH, look at that Ryan Air fracas. Although South Africa has 11 official languages somebody thinks that they should all speak Afrikaans.

I live in a country where people get abused for speaking a language other than English. I've been waiting for a chance to launch into somebody abusing someone for speaking another language in public.
