It's a long time since I was in the USA. There seemed to be some need for Spanish in some places. Also maybe some small areas still have French or German.
Then there are the languages of the native peoples before the Europeans came.
A USA flag or a UK flag to Select English is only OK for English only speaking Americans and Englishmen.
Places do need official languages (can be more than one) so that Corporations and arrogant people in a majority group don't abuse the minorities. See Northern Ireland where Irish was acceptable before 1922 and till the 1980s the BBC was blocking Welsh programs (except the Annual Eisteddfod) so some locals wouldn't feel deprived. One Party in NI has been using a veto to block Irish in N.I. part of UK for 22 years, yet UK has Scottish Gaelic in Scotland and Welsh in Wales.
Maybe the USA SHOULD have some official languages.
