And I just tried it, it seems if I don't use Calibre when I connect my Kobo, after I unmount/eject the kobo device with my PC manually, the home screen won't show unless I unplug it (it is still displaying connecting and charging black screen), so is it only useful when I disconnect my Kobo inside Calibre?
Or what is the exact instruction to do that?

When not running Calibre and ejecting my Libra 2 from Windows, I use Windows Explorer to eject. I just right click on the the Libra 2 on the left pane and eject. IT does work and the home screen does show up without having to unplug the USB cable.
