Like you I'm an indoor urbanite, but I do wonder how many people who prefer to spend their time outdoors spend most of that outdoor time reading. A friend of mine who is both a bibliophile and a librarian reads a lot and spends a lot of time time outdoors, but not at the same time. I would not be surprised if she was far from unusual in this.
