Currently, Amazon does not supply KFX format ebooks using the Download & transfer via USB so the age of your Kindle does not matter. What Amazon might be going to do in the future is fun speculation.

TLS 1.2 but really should be using TLS 1.3 since TLS 1.2 was introduced back in 2008 and is no longer as secure as it was.
