Of course this won't work for periodicals. I'm assuming I'll have to start stuffing Calibre-generated periodicals in a web-accessible directory and downloading them with the builtin web browser, since I guess MOBI removal will break send-to-kindle of periodicals completely unless you like to read periodicals without any of the article-menu stuff, which is I believe still MOBI-only and only implemented in the MOBI viewer on the device itself.

(Needless to say: Calibre's recipe-driven periodical conversion is wonderful and has probably been worth more to me over the years than the Kindle itself...)
