I understand. Thank you very much.

I tried changing the value of the weight of the Domitian-Italic.otf from 400 Regular to 700 Bold but the generated font always revert to its original value when i open it again in FontForge. I was hoping the italics text in my ebooks will be displayed as bolditalics if i edit the weight.

Edit: UPDATE:

Using your test epub, fonts are displaying correctly. it is the Bookerly font I have that is buggy (displaying italics in bold italics). I chanced upon a reddit post 3 years ago having the same bugs: https://www.reddit.com/r/kobo/commen...stalled_fonts/
