For what it is worth, I looked at the OTF versions of the Domitian. From FontForge, the Bold & BoldItalic variants were set to 700 Bold, the Italic and Regular variants were set to 400 Regular. I did change the font filename for the Domitian-Roman.otf to Domitian-Regular.otf. I copied the 4 fonts to my Sage and opened my font test epub. I've attached an image of one of the test pages which seems to show regular, italic, bold and bold-italic being rendered properly.
