Why is it that bold words in the book i am reading does not show bold using the said font when the bold variant is present alongside other fonts. The same with Palladio fonts in .ttf format.
When i use Bookerly, bold texts are shown no problem.
I really like the palatino/Domitian type but bold, italics, etc are important for me.
Is there a way to fix this?

Looking at the bolditalic in FontForge it appears to have the incorrect weight,
Demi instead of
Book as explained by jackie_w in an older thread here (see post #9):

However, I
think converting first to .ttf may be necessary as I received an error when editing the .otf. I'm a mere novice but have successfully edited weights of .ttf fonts using jackie_w's instructions.
