@Marawan: I agree that you weren't hostile or unfriendly. However, you did imply that your expectations are the only one-true-answer, and that your ideas should be implemented:

This sort of thing happens **a lot** here and sometimes people (me included) lose patience.
In fact this happened to me some 12 years ago. I asked about something, I don't remember what but it was something to do with a Sony PRS 300, and I didn't get satisfaction. I was pissed off enough to try to fix it myself, so I did. At that point Kovid helped me work through the issues and it worked -- I made calibre do what I wanted (mostly)! This has been true since then. I "fix" things, Kovid accepts the fixes or argues with me about them, and we move forward.
The moral of the story: if you want something in calibre that others seem not to care much about, fix it yourself. If your fix doesn't break anything then Kovid will consider it, often giving feedback that helps.
