If you turn off the device with WiFi OFF on the next reboot it will probably freeze again. So remember to always turn it off with WiFi ON (also pay attention to the auto-off).
This KOBO Libra2 reboot issue goes on after an update last January and still hasn't been fixed. Many users have it.
About freezing while reading I don't know... probably the database is corrupt.

I have enabled my WiFi, but the problem during rebooting persists. What I do notice, although this may be purely coincidental, is that if I lay the device on a flat surface and don't touch it, it takes less time to get to the home screen, about 5 minutes, as opposed to when i hold it in my hands as it takes 20 to 30 minutes or sometimes longer.
I will check with Calibre tonight if the database is corrupt. I don't have access to a computer to check it right now.
