I just got an email telling me that the latest Karin Slaughter book is released today. Which is great news, but I was a little surprised since Karin Slaughter finished a tour of the Netherlands and Belgium to promote her latest book, which was already being sold. I checked and the release date for the Dutch translation of her book was released on 1 June.
Then I remembered an interview with Nicci French I saw on TV years ago. They are also popular in the Netherlands and they usually release the Dutch version before the English one. Because if the English version is released first people in the Netherlands (and Belgium presumably) buy that version and the Dutch edition will sell a lot less books.
I put the new book on my wishlist and wait for it to drop in price €13.99 is a bit on the expensive side.
