I agree it seems strange.

Best advice, if you don't have a power cover, don't get one. A Kwmobile or Fintite cover plus a solar power bank is nearly 1/2 the money and a decent solar charged power bank might be 3000 mAh. I have a cheap 10,000 mAh non-solar power pack too. All handy for phone, tablet, other ereaders etc.
