Yes, I agree!
I found some really nice typing action keyboards in my attic, but they use the large size 5 pin DIN. At least they are PC-AT protocol and not XT mode, so they do work with mini-DIN (some PC towers I have still use that) and a USB Y-adaptor that takes mouse and/or keyboard and works with any PS/2-MiniDIN plugged mouse or keyboard.
Oddly the Microsoft keyboards and mouse I have (USB or proprietary wireless with USB adaptor) beat all the others I have for nice typing action, including two models of Logitech, except for the early 1990s Mitsumi models I found in the attic. I type a lot.
