Know your enemy!
Sometimes the corners are the easiest, sometimes the worst.
If the USB connector spot has a cutout (instead of a hole) that might be a good place to start.
I mostly use single edge razor blades, sometimes a small pen knife when more force is needed.
Using a razor blade you can often detect where the tabs are, which makes life easier.
You may need "placeholders" (like guitar picks or cut-up old credit cards) to keep it from snapping back.
