Device: PW5, 5.14.1.1, jailbroken

I wanted to remove the obnoxious tick mark beside every book, so I edited the svg file for the same in /app/KPPMainApp/res/KPPUIChrome/Downloaded.svg and changed all colors to white.

The size of the file increased a little, and then I restarted the kindle, and nothing changed, the icon is still visible in the book list.

I then DELETED the svg file and the icon is still visible. Clearly, it's either cached or that folder isn't where it's stored.

Has anyone tried this before? How would I go about accomplishing this?
