It took two days to get to essentially this point. Ironically the book in question almost certainly paints women, at least the protagonist, worse than anything that’s been said in this thread. It likely does the same for men, again especially the secondary leading character. I mean it’s a trashy romance/erotica novel (note trashy here refers to the sub genre and is not a commentary on the romance genre itself).
And before the whole “someone not in a marginalized group…” line gets tossed out, please note I’m not saying anyone can or can’t be offended, just that the content of the book from the OP, and indeed even the description certainly are if anything less kind to women than this thread.
