If it actually mounts properly, you can try a factory reset (I can't remember the name of the trigger file, though, but it's probably mentioned in the downgrade thread a few threads down).
Speaking of mounting, if you could actually hard reset it, I'd have mentioned make sure it boot entirely unplugged from anything, as booting a Kindle while connected to a computer is known to do wonky shit.
