You can now install 4.33. If you don't want to wait for a sync to happen, you can manually install 4.33.

To manually install the firmware...
1. Download the firmware for your specific Kobo
2. Plug the Kobo into the computer's USB port
3. UnZip the firmware ZIP file to the .kobo directory on your Kobo
4. Eject the Kobo
5. Wait until the screen changes and then unplug the USB cable
6. Wait for the firmware to update
7. When you are back to the home screen, you are done
