  2. Use the patch to unify the kepub/epub sizes. The alternative to this is to sideload everything as kepubs or epubs only, without mixing different formats.
I probably won't do this, though I'm glad you told me about it just in case I need to pursue such a solution in the future. I tend to be lazy and just sync with the cloud. However, I am going to looking that patch.
