I don’t understand the issue you have with collections: what is the diff between ‘scroll down’ and ‘page forward’, seems about the same amount of effort involved to navigate. And navigating should be a little more efficient in some cases.

Setting up another Amazon account would be pointless as we have over 2000 ebooks bought between us on our one account. The swiping is pain as it’s unreliable. I just dislike the home page and the collections view now so much I’ve spent three days setting my kobo up as my main e-reader. I have books from various retailers so it makes much more sense combining all of them and having them on my Kobo.
If hubby doesn’t want my Oasis (he’s still using a Voyage) then I’ll give it six months and then sell it. I only need a kindle now to read samples and I can do that on my iPad. I know I need a kindle to be able to download ebooks to my PC but a cheap kindle is just as effective for that as a top range Oasis. I’m pretty much done with kindles now.
