It came out of a discussion between @chaley and myself in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=346321. I think everything important is covered in that.

The main thing is that you can specify a template to return a list of names to use as collections. The list has to be separated by ":@:". This will work with the existing template columns. Or you can use it by itself. Or just stick to the columns. The template is entered in the driver configuration.

That's is about it. There are some more details in the thread plus some examples. @chaley gives an example of a template that uses the device's serial number to decide on the collections to be created.
