I used to use a bookmark folder - and still do for some author wide searchs and the like. But for individual books I now use the wishlist feature on Kobo.

I wish it was cleverer (I'd like to be able to sort by author or series or something, and it pages via javascript rather by link making it its paging behaviour inconsistent with the rest of the site); and I think it would become really painful to use if you had more than a couple of hundred items.

In recent times Kobo has been sending me emails when a book on the wishlist comes on special, so that's been good. (When they first introduced the wishlist that was not happening.)
