Best reason to buy eink.
I and wife have maybe 300 bought ebooks, mostly 99p sale over maybe 7 years.
But I was downloading Gutenberg since 2003. Main reason I bought a PW later, but I only read on Kobo now. About 3,000 paper books in house and I ordered 11 books on paper today as they are gaps in series I have on paper. Oddly most cheaper than Kindle versions.
About 2,800 PD novels for ereaders
Also I proofread & annotate since about 2014 on eInk instead of paper and saved about 7,000 pages plus ink then toner.
I can't see any reason to install the Kobo app if you have a Kobo Touch (I gave one to one of my Grandchildren) and Calibre. I use Lithium, KOReader or Aldiko basic on phones/tablets to read ebooks. Calibre viewer on laptop.
Wife also now upgraded from PW3 to Kobo Libra (original).
I do have Google PlayStore PlayBooks, Kobo and Kindle apps on Android for testing books we publish if we do some new formatting.
I do have one Android eInk for the Irish Library app Borrowbox as it saves doing mad stuff with adobe & downloads simply to borrow a book. Libraries were closed for a LONG time due to Covid. They have more content on ebooks than a particular branch and it has the only way for Audio books except some ancient stock.
