I use a Sony Walkman NW-A45 that I got a long time ago. Its big brother is the A-105. It's rather expensive and only holds 16GB onboard but also has SD Card slot (which I have filled with a 128gb card). Handles hi-res audio and works as a DAC, etc. Definitely not for everyone, but I use it everyday for my music collection, which is ripped from all of my CDs.
