Scribe does suggest writing, so for the product name it's more generic than Kindle.
Fire was just stupid as a tablet name and calling it a Kindle Fire originally just caused confusion.

Though Kindle and Fire are ordinary words they aren't generic for an ereader or tablet product. Basic, Voyage and Oasis were poor.

Touch was a bad choice (used by a few brands). H2O was a bad choice. Aura, Nia, Libra, Elipsa and Sage not bad.

Adding G or HD to an updated version of a product is weak. HD is now totally meaningless. It started going off in 1935 when 405 line TV (about 377 visible) was called HD. Though on 9" screen originally. Earlier systems were essentially toys with 18 to 220 lines. The USA used 440 lines at same time as UK launched 405. After WWII the UK re-started 405, the USA had switched to 525 (480 visible) during the war. France then switched from 440 to 819 and the rest of the world apart from Japan (525) chose 625 (576 visible). Japan had a hybrid 1125 line from 1972. That's about 1080 visible lines. The 720p was chosen as it's the same bandwidth as 1080i.

Advertising is crazy.
