BTW, I've had an ereader with an IR screen - the Kindle Basic 2014. I was not impressed by the screen. It was neither particularly white nor particularly contrasty. So that's another myth that IR screens are always better than capacitive.
The Kindle Basic 2014 used an old 800x600 screen. Sorry, but you cannot compare that to better higher resolution screens.
