Does anyone have any best practices for AO3? I am interesting in downloading some of my favorites but the out of control tagging on AO3 is insane.

What I would like to do is have tags only for fandom, ie. Harry Potter, Marvel Cinematic Universe, etc., and characters, maybe only the first 4 listed? I don't need tags for characters that show up for 2 lines and sadly, some authors do tag them! If there is a main relationship tagged I suppose I would like that too. But I don't want 50 or 75 or 100 other random tags that the author dreamed up that are useless.
