What I would suggest doing is deleting the font.SQLite file from within the .Kobo directory of the root of your kobo when plugged into a computer.
I don’t know if this file might survive the various resets done but one sure way to make sure it’s rebuilt is deleting it. I’d suggest doing this without any sideloaded fonts first and then testing to see if the issue persists on 4.32 firmware. If it does report back here. If it doesn’t add one font at a time, testing each time. Note you’ll have to reboot your Kobo each time (I believe) to ensure they’re properly installed. If you don’t encounter the issue let us know it’s been resolved. If it does reoccur let us know what font and if you can recall where you got the font.

When adding side loaded fonts, do not add Bookerly ss the first font. Try it as the third font added. But you will need to delete the fonts directory.
