Many libraries are supplying books in epub-format. Sadly, with DRM - which is understandle, since borrowed books need to expire before they can be lent again.

If Amazon were to convert protected files into Kindle-formats: Terrific.

If not, you are still restricted to converting public domain-files and those sold without DRM.
