For clarification:
Sorry, maybe I did not understand the questioner's intention very well.
Perhaps I took the words "adding series information to the title" too literally.
There are people who like to have "garbage" in the title field, although it seems to be a pointless action. In such a situation, after filling in the metadata with information about the series (manually or via a plug-in), the OP can add this information to the title field.

Of course, the file name record supplemented with series names and series numbers should be done via (Metadata) Plugboard.
