My main spiral-notebook note taking days were about 55-44 years ago. I took notes in ink. I didn't always have a computer to type them into, and then it was floppy disks for storage, but before computers I'd rewrite them into a new notebook. That allowed me to clean them up and clarify as desired, and reinforced the content. Later the computer did the same. Then test studying was done from the rewrite whether paper or electronic. Completed an A.A. business with a 4.0 that way and took that to the university where I eked out a 3.92 using the same system. Notebooks don't take up
that much space and sometimes single purpose devices are the best choice.
