I don't even think the software needed to run the notebook features (I think the foxit viewer is one of them) are installed on older devices.
You might be able to get away with installing the KoboRoot.tgz file from the Sage firmware, but a) it'll eat up a lot more disk space in the /root partition to the point where random things may break because of the lack of free space, b) you won't be able to roll back without a factory reset (just deleting the different files won't be enough because DBUS changes are made to use the foxit software rather than the Adobe stuff), c) I still don't think those binaries would run, and d) even if it did work, you'd have to remember to update with the Sage software but Aura One kernel for every firmware update until the end of time. Not doing so might screw things up.
Personally, I don't think it's worth it.
