The first option is already set. How would the second option work with Calibre, as the book isn't sent through an email app ... or is it? I have no idea how that works. I use Outlook on my laptop and I'm able to both send and receive emails with the VPN on.

I also tried excluding Calibre with the split tunneling but that didn't work either.
