Thanks to spacequince for his comprehensive write up of follow up steps in post 208 in this thread. Deserves to be on the first page.
Koreader has made great strides since I last used it many years ago, looks polished and clean and I am very happy about being able to attach notes to PDFs now. I mainly use my iPad Mini 6 and my Remarkable 2 for reading PDFs nowadays but I am so looking forward to being able to bring PDFs with me on trips where I wouldn’t bring these more delicate (and less water resistant) devices.
