IIRC, it "negotiates" a standard CDP 1.5A on either a Kindle charger or a power strip ~2A's port over here (and it seems to be holding to that, according to an USB meter).

Reading the PMU's driver code makes my brain hurt, but I don't think it'll ever do more than 2A anyway.
