I’ve had mine (SE) since November. I find it much better than the previous generation Paperwhite.
* quite a bit faster for many operations — this alone made it upgrade worthy
* display has slightly more contrast
* larger display is nice to have and it is not much larger/heavier
* supports 5GHz Wi-Fi, downloads seem faster
* ‘warm’ light (not something I use)
SE-exclusive features are:
* wireless charging
* auto-brightness sensor
* no ads on Lock Screen ($20 to remove from base model)
* additional 24GB storage
For me it was worth getting SE. I have no idea what I’ll ever use the storage for but the other 3 things are nice.
