Might be a windows thing?? I just go to advanced settings, browse, and point it to the new location and it adds the “Sigil Temp Docs” (with spaces) to the end of my folder selection.
The biggest reason I use it is when I’m editing an image using photoshop. MOST of the time it knows which folder it is coming from and saves back to that original folder. SOMETIMES it gets lost and I have to find the folder that Sigil is editing and save it back to that folder. That’s when it is nice to have the temp folder in a my-brain-logical location.
I agree with you that this is probably not the cause of this issue.
