Why don't you get the groundwork started, download:

You'll want to decrypt it on your desktop, see:

Then you can tell us if there is 1) a boot image in it 2) a recovery image.

Thanks Renate. I did have the latest 3.2.1 (there were 2 updates with that version number).

I got the UPX and script, and decrypted it for Note3. There is a boot.img but I don't think a recovery image. See attached image for full zip contents.
